Cox finishes Third in Ocala

Alex Powell has been the star of weekend in Micro ROK and would lead the field in a gloomy Final. Powell continued to demonstrate his dominance, leading the field early on, with a heavy challenge from the four kart train just behind. Matheus Ferreira, Elliot Cox, Brandon Carr, and Emerson Fittipaldi ran behind. Fittipaldi, who struggled to find pace all week was turning his weekend around, with a shot a victory. However back upfront it was Brandon Carr who was challenging Alex Powell's chance of victory as he would take the lead on lap 11.

Elliot Cox would trail in third, with rain on the way. Things were about to get interesting here with six laps to go and a ten degree drop in temperature. At this point with winds increasing and five to go, both Carr and Powell opened a two second gap to Ferreira in third. As the race came to a close, we watched the field space out, with rain falling. Carr`s rain legs came to life, as in just one lap the young man opened a two and a half second gap to take victory.

Powell would trail behind in second, with Elliot Cox in third. Emerson Fittipaldi made a great recovery, coming home in fourth after a challenging week. Frankie Iadevaia was able to crack the top ten with a ninth place finish as the skies opened up.
